Event schedules and results from previous years:

The Cascade Family Motorcycle Club (CFMC) organizes and runs events that will appeal to all levels of riders. In keeping with our mission statement, we offer three annual events that are part of the Northwest Motorcycle Association's (NMA) competition series. Also as a family oriented club we feel it is important to provide a variety of events. To that end we offer one of each of the NMA's three distinct event types: Poker Runs, Enduros, and International Six Day Enduro (ISDE). Definitions of each of these event types can be found at the bottom of this page. The CFMC also offers an annual school and riding event to teach new riders what they need to know to compete in the Enduro Series.

In addition to the numerous trail rides for club members, the CFMC hosts four major NMA events per year. The events are: the Grizzly ISDE, the Little Bear Enduro and Enduro School, the Super Dirt Poker Run, and the Black Bear Enduro. Each of these major events offers something different for the rider.

The Grizzly ISDE event is a competition race that is part of the NMA off-road series. Historically CFMC has hosted the Grizzly as a Hare Scramble. In fact, via rider votes, the Grizzle Hare Scrambles won the NMA 2006 Off-road Event of the Year. However the off-road racing community has been asking for an ISDE race within the NMA series. Therefore CFMC is pleased to announce that we will be changing the format of the Grizzly this year from a Hare Scramble to an ISDE. This year the Grizzly course will be staged out of Straddleline ORV park and will include approximately 100 miles of trail riding with close to a dozen special test sections.

The Little Bear Enduro and Enduro School event is a fun competition race that is does not count toward the NMA Enduro Series points. This event is designed to help riders, both young and old, that are new to the Enduro style of racing, learn the do's and don'ts of Enduro Racing. The event includes a class in the morning to review the rules of Enduro racing. Upon completion of the class riders are queued up to start the race. This is a great event to bring your family to, as it is not a mere competition of speed.

The Super Dirt Poker Run is a sanctioned NMA event that is part of the full Poker Run Series. Like all poker runs it is not a race. Given that the CFMC is very family friendly, we lay out a course that will work for all riders. The course itself will include a short, easy loop and a longer, intermediate loop for riders. This event is typically held on the Sunday following the Little Bear Enduro and Enduro School event. Many families come out and camp and enjoy a great weekend of organized riding with the usual "sweep riders" available to help anyone having trouble.

The Black Bear Enduro is our flagship event. It is a competition race that is part of the NMA Enduro series. Via rider votes, the Black Bear Enduro won the NMA 2006 Enduro Event of the Year. As the last Enduro event of the year, titles are won and lost during this day of hard riding. The course itself will include both a short and long course section, with riders of the long course section facing 70+ miles of single-track riding! With great course marking and numerous sweep riders following along to help the weary, competitors in this event can just focus on riding fast (but not too fast), riding hard (but conserving energy), and having fun!

Looking for other off-road motorycle/ATV events? Check out the NMA Event Calendar for events held by other clubs.
If you don't know what "ISDE", "Enduro", or "Poker Run" events are, the NMA has a web page that describes what these different kinds of rides are.
